It is possible to access the same sense of well-being, clarity, inner freedom, and loving connection realized by the world’s meditation masters. We can do this by shifting our awareness in the midst of our daily lives. Shift into Freedom presents innovative teacher Loch Kelly’s training manual for actively participating in the evolution of your own consciousness. Synthesizing insights from neuroscience and psychology with wisdom from the world’s contemplative traditions, Shift into Freedom offers an accessible and remarkably powerful series of meditations that lead us to a little-known natural capacity called “awake awareness.” Through an unfolding process of “small glimpses, many times,” these exercises shift us from a thought-based knowing to an awareness-based way of operating in the world. With continued practice, we learn to “unhook” from our customary home in our ego-based identity—and then sustain an embodied presence and relatedness known as “open-hearted awareness.” Loch Kelly teaches that this is “the meeting place of awakening and growing up, where we have the capacity to handle a fully emotional, intimate life and act with authenticity and compassion.” Learn more about: • How to separate awareness from thinking to realize that thoughts and emotions are not the center of who we are • How insights from neuroscience can help us learn how to embody awakening • Ego-identification, a pattern of thought that co-opts the body’s boundary program and creates a mistaken identity • The paradox of “being home while returning home” • Finding the off-switch for the chattering mind • How to intentionally and immediately shift into peace of mind any time of your day • Awakening as a natural process of human development, which unfolds as waking up, waking in, and waking out • Meditation practices for all phases of the journey of awakening and embodiment • Four stages of spiritual growth: recognition, realization, stabilization, and expression • Untying the “knots” in our mindbody system to liberate us from our deepest doubts and fears • How to move from deliberate mindfulness to effortless mindfulness and heart mindfulness • How to effortlessly focus without using attention • Discovering your innate happiness that is not dependent on circumstances • How to welcome and liberate sub-personalities after initial awakening • A user’s manual for your consciousness to help you free yourself from the limits of ego-identification and live from open-hearted awareness

I was motivated to write about my life journey problems that I went through being prompted by the calling of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through his mother, Mary, I felt a great urge to let people know of how he had helped me to overcome all my earthly problems. The problems of my life journey started when I became aware of the happenings around me, starting at age five through, to my open-heart bypass in the year 2000 when I was fifty-three years old. Help cametimes when I most neededfrom Jesus, our Saviour. Jesus had also helped me in my studies as well as in my career. I was taught how to conquer fear, sorrow, depression, and mental blocks. Temptations were also strong when one is down, but the faith that you hold strongly will see you through. Physical pain can also be overcome if you have faith. Trust in God is the key word. For all inspiration, motivation, strength, and love come from him above if only you call. My life journey has not yet ended, and my second heart bypass is yet to be seen if God would help me. Amen.

“This book is nothing less than the definitive study of a text long considered central to understanding the Renaissance and its place in Western culture.” —James Hankins, Harvard University Pico della Mirandola died in 1494 at the age of thirty-one. During his brief and extraordinary life, he invented Christian Kabbalah in a book that was banned by the Catholic Church after he offered to debate his ideas on religion and philosophy with anyone who challenged him. Today he is best known for a short speech, the Oration on the Dignity of Man, written in 1486 but never delivered. Sometimes called a “Manifesto of the Renaissance,” this text has been regarded as the foundation of humanism and a triumph of secular rationality over medieval mysticism. Brian Copenhaver upends our understanding of Pico’s masterwork by re-examining this key document of modernity. An eminent historian of philosophy, Copenhaver shows that the Oration is not about human dignity. In fact, Pico never wrote an Oration on the Dignity of Man and never heard of that title. Instead he promoted ascetic mysticism, insisting that Christians need help from Jews to find the path to heaven—a journey whose final stages are magic and Kabbalah. Through a rigorous philological reading of this much-studied text, Copenhaver transforms the history of the idea of dignity and reveals how Pico came to be misunderstood over the course of five centuries. Magic and the Dignity of Man is a seismic shift in the study of one of the most remarkable thinkers of the Renaissance.

Read, then, to see a greater God than you now see. Read to see truth that will take you closer to God. Read to gain your own personal joy and peace. Read to see more clearly the incredible relationship you most certainly have with an even more incredible, loving God. The most original Christian writing since Augustine and Aquinas, author Tom Huene's Look-Alike-Man answers long-standing questions about God and Satan, yet in an easy-to-read style. In this book, you will see why God could not possibly have created Satan and how the Bible does not say that He did. Huene's purpose is the following: 1) To magnify and put into its proper and lofty perspective the powerful and loving nature of the one and only God. 2) To show the 'Images of God' why they all—100 percent of them—can be absolutely certain of spending eternity with their magnificent Creator in heaven. He addresses age-old assumptions about God, Satan, and man that need to be freshly reviewed with an open mind as well as with an open Bible. If you have as many questions about your Christian faith as Huene had, this is a must-read. Have you ever felt like there are actually two of you inside that body of yours? Well, you are correct. Read Look-Alike-Man to see who you really are.
