Mr. Spring Rice offers to the Club a bottle of better whisky than that presented by Mr. Carew, to be tried by a jury de medietate, half native and half English. At the following dinner, on the 1st of May, it is recorded: --Mr. Spring Rice presented two bottles of whisky agreeably to his promise on the 24th of April.
