C., August 8, 9, and 10, 1917 The Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Association convened with the River Zion Baptist Church near Blanche, Caswell' County, August 8, 1917, in its fiftieth annual session at 10 30 a. M. The meeting was called to order by Rev. C. J. Springfield. The former moderator, Brother G. Smith, acted as secretary. Revs. K. Dixon, S. Wade, David Johnson, and G. Stokes were appointed to conduct devotional exercises. Rev. K. Dixon read hymn, Lord in the Morning, Thou Shalt Hear, which was sung by the brethren with much earnestness and gladness Second hymn, Rev. C. P. Williamson, which caused the brethren to be still more aroused spiritually. Then the Rev. Wade, one of the fathers of the Association, read 57 4, viz.: Amazing Grace. 'rev. David Johnson, the old est member of the Association gave a scripture reading, the 24th Matthew. Rev. S. Stokes offer-ed prayer. How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds was sung, led by Rev. S.
