The sustainable supply of minerals which are non-renewable is of much concern for countries in the Asian & Pacific region & they have taken steps to reorient their national policies on mineral resource development. This publication highlights the need for new policy orientation & initiatives for mineral resource development, especially if foreign direct investment flows are to be harnessed.
