A brief resume of states other than Tennessee where such marriages were performed or the former home of either the bride or groom: AL, AR, CT, FL, KY, MS, MO, MD, LA, IA, IN, IL, NY, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, VT, WV, & VA to cite but a few. Newspapers from which these Marriages have been taken: The Knoxville Gazette, The Daily Republican Banner, The Western Weekly Review (Franklin, TN.), The Politician and Weekly Nashville, The Nashville True Whig and Weekly Commercial Advertiser, National Banner, Impartial Review and Cumberland repository, Nashville.
