Review from Book News Inc.: The acronym for the conference is ICMTMA (International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation); it's held annually, and the third such gathering occurred in January 2011, Shanghai, China. Two hundred and ninety-one papers selected from a phenomenal 2,200 submissions, from 18 countries and regions, are presented here in two volumes. Inexplicably, the papers are arranged alphabetically by title using a primitive sort that lumps together those beginning with "A" and those beginning with "The." A keyword index and an author list will be of some help in navigating the material.
