"The Mayor's Task Force on Gang Violence Prevention (the "Task Force") was established in October 2017 as a way to identify gaps and solutions that address gang violence in the region. The Task Force was composed of elected officials from the City of Surrey, a Member of Parliament, staff from the City of Surrey, local service agencies, the Surrey School District, law enforcement agencies, community members (including businesses, youth, and other citizens), and local media.
