Hybrid RV living is an exciting, full-time RV lifestyle where you have both an RV and your own lot with full hookups. The lot often includes a small house or casita to use while you're there. It's a fantastic way to transition from a home to the freedom you get with full-time RV living. In the post-pandemic world, especially in the U.S., RVing is expected to grow exponentially as a way to take the family out to see the country, without the dangers of an infected hotel room -- and while still having all the comforts and safety of home. But, unfortunately, there are just not enough RV resorts to handle this new growth, especially for seasonal rentals, where you stay longer than a few days. Owning your own lot in an RV resort solves this problem. As my wife, Sharon, and I have traveled, we have met many people who are selling their homes to become full-timers in their RVs. We made the switch five years ago. We had owned RVs for years, but Sharon wasn't ready to be a nomad. As she told me, she needed a permanent address. That's when we discovered the Hybrid RV lifestyle! We bought into an RV resort in Florida that offers RV lots for sale as well as small houses and full resort amenities. This satisfied Sharon's need to have a permanent home (and mine too) and lets us still enjoy RV living. We use the RV as our master suite and the small house for everything else -- relaxing, cooking, laundry, and it even has a guest room. It provides a permanent address for mail, homestead, and residency. We are full-time Hybrid RV living! It takes a lot of courage and planning to sell your home and become a full-time RVer, and isn't for everyone. That's why the hybrid lifestyle is perfect, as it combines the benefits of both RV living and home living. It's a journey that we hope to share with you. If you have ever dreamed of the freedom of an RV, but didn't know how to make the transition, let us help you! This is why we created - "The Hybrid RV Lifestyle - a Guide to Transitioning RIGHT the First Time" to answer all of your questions. This is a comprehensive book designed to help you make good decisions and avoid mistakes as you embark on your journey to a Hybrid RV Lifestyle. We cover selecting the right RV, selling your home, finding the right lot, storage, insurance, homestead, connectivity, home schooling, and working from the road, along with a host of other things that are critical to transitioning to a Hybrid RV lifestyle. As a bonus, we give you access to our personalized list of available RV parks that sell lots. We have been traveling the country filming different resorts that sell deeded lots, RV homes, coach houses, and casitas (small suites) that are available to purchase. We have also collected information and prices so it will make it easier for you to find the right place, keep mama happy (papa too) and make your journey smoother and more enjoyable. The inspiration for Chloé Zhao's 2020 Golden Lion award-winning film starring Frances McDormand. "People who thought the 2008 financial collapse was over a long time ago need to meet the people Jessica Bruder got to know in this scorching, beautifully written, vivid, disturbing (and occasionally wryly funny) book." —Rebecca Solnit From the beet fields of North Dakota to the campgrounds of California to Amazon’s CamperForce program in Texas, employers have discovered a new, low-cost labor pool, made up largely of transient older adults. These invisible casualties of the Great Recession have taken to the road by the tens of thousands in RVs and modified vans, forming a growing community of nomads. Nomadland tells a revelatory tale of the dark underbelly of the American economy—one which foreshadows the precarious future that may await many more of us. At the same time, it celebrates the exceptional resilience and creativity of these Americans who have given up ordinary rootedness to survive, but have not given up hope.

Finalist for a 2019 Sidewise Award “Conceptually adventurous yet full of feeling. . . . smart, thought-provoking, and thoroughly enjoyable.” —Charles Yu, author of Interior Chinatown Wherever Hel looks, New York City is both reassuringly familiar and terribly wrong. As one of the thousands who fled the outbreak of nuclear war in an alternate United States—an alternate timeline, somewhere across the multiverse—she finds herself living as a refugee in our own not-so-parallel New York. The slang and technology are foreign to her, the politics and art unrecognizable. While others, like her partner, Vikram, attempt to assimilate, Hel refuses to reclaim her former career or create a new life. Instead, she obsessively rereads Vikram’s copy of The Pyronauts—a science fiction masterwork in her world that now only exists as a single flimsy paperback—and becomes determined to create a museum dedicated to preserving the remaining artifacts and memories of her vanished culture. But the refugees are unwelcome and Hel’s efforts are met with either indifference or hostility. And when the only copy of The Pyronauts goes missing, Hel must decide how far she is willing to go to recover it and finally face her own anger, guilt, and grief over what she has truly lost. With Famous Men Who Never Lived, K Chess has created a compelling and inventive speculative work on what home means to those who have lost it forever.
