DOWNLOAD EBOOKSi le musée, lieu de la culture « savante », semble à l’opposé de la culture « jeune », de plus en plus de recherches soulignent la présence d’adolescents au musée. Dans ce contexte, notre thèse propose d’éclairer pour la première fois en France la relation adolescents-musées afin d’en saisir les enjeux, les spécificités et les convergences avec d’autres pays. L’analyse de 954 projets nous a permis dans un premier temps de proposer une typologie de l’offre actuelle. Nous avons par la suite analysé successivement les représentations sociales et les pratiques déclarées de 109 professionnels de musées français au regard de l’accueil des adolescents et celles de 107 adolescents franciliens sur les musées, à travers le cadre théorique du rapport au savoir. Enfin l’analyse par quelques jeunes des parcours d’exposition du département des Antiquités égyptiennes du musée du Louvre a permis de préciser les éléments du parcours plus adaptés aux adolescents dans l’appropriation du message muséal.
