Records from the family bible transcribed by Jules De Launay. Letter from De Launay, dated 5 Nov. 1965, Washington, D.C., to the South Caroliniana Library, explains that he visited the library and noticed that "the copy of [their] 'Spigener Bible' was incomplete," and since he had "just made a copy of the original [him]self," he prepared a copy for the library as well. De Launay explains, "also enclosed is a copy of a more recent 'Spigener Bible' referring to descendants the Spigeners of the 'Kelly-Spigener Bible.'"
