James Rinnovatore and Allan Eaglesham provide proof that President Kennedy's body was in the Bethesda morgue well before the motorcade from Andrews Air Force Base arrived at the entrance to Bethesda Naval Hospital carrying the bronze casket in which the body had been placed at Parkland Hospital, Dallas. The casket was empty at this time, as it had been when it was placed in a gray navy ambulance for transportation from Andrews to Bethesda. The body had been removed from the bronze casket while Lyndon Johnson was being sworn in as president before Air Force One left Love Field. The purpose of the early arrival of the body at the Bethesda morgue was to alter the wounds, which had been found to be frontal by the doctors at Parkland. The wounds had to be reversed in order to implicate a lone assassin - Lee Harvey Oswald - shooting from the Texas School Book Depository. The doctors who tried to save President John F. Kennedy at Parkland Hospital in November of 1963 agreed-either out of respect or fear-not to publish what they had seen, heard, and felt. Then in 1990, one of the Dallas surgeons who worked on JFK in Trauma Room One, Dr. Charles Crenshaw, decided after much deliberation that the American people ought to know the truth. "The wounds to Kennedy's head and throat that I examined were caused by bullets that struck him from the front, not the back, as the public has been led to believe," says Crenshaw. When the first edition of this book was published in 1992, under the title JFK: Conspiracy of Silence, Crenshaw revealed what he never had to opportunity to tell the Warren Commission. In the aftermath, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) called Crenshaw's book "a fabrication." But JAMA's claim did not hold up in court and Crenshaw subsequently prevailed in a defamation suit against JAMA. In the process, a number of new medical disclosures and discoveries have emerged on the startling medical cover-up of the JFK assassination. CHARLES A. CRENSHAW, M.D. (1933-2001), a Texas native, was Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Surgery and a member of the Board of Directors of the Tarrant County Hospital District in Fort Worth. He received his BS from Southern Methodist University and his MS from East Texas State University. He worked on his Ph.D. at Baylor University Graduate Research Institute in 1957 and, in 1960, he earned his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He interned at Veteran's Administration Hospital and completed his residency at Dallas's Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he worked for five years. He taught at many institutions, including the UT Southwestern Medical School. He was honored with inclusions in numerous medical and professional societies and was published extensively.

This plot, which involved only a handful of high officials and a few Secret Service Agents, called for President Kennedy to be maneuvered to Dallas and executed in public. His body was then forcibly removed from the control of the Dallas Coroner and flown to Washingon, D.C., to a military hospital. There, autopsy findings were supervised to foil a later investigation and implicate a scapegoat. The plot required a high probability of success. Therefore, it was self-contained: carefully recruited members of the Secret Service- the Presidents guards- murdered him. The portability of a motorcade allowed the assassins to escape and the evidence to remain under their control. With their obvious cover as guards, the Secret Service could ensure that the planning would result in the replacement of one chief executive with another who now had the power to cover the crime up. The scapegoat for the crime was placed near the motorcade by being told to look for work at locations on one of two likely parade routes. Once he had a job, the motorcade was planned to pass in front of where he worked. In this way, it would appear that he had found his position by accident. To plan the route first and then place the scapegoat in position would raise serious questions in an investigation about his prior knowledge.
