Excerpt from Investigation of Improper Activities in the Labor or Management Field, Vol. 54: Hearings Before the Select Committee on Improper Activities in the Labor or Management Field, Eighty-Sixth Congress, First Session We shall inquire further into whether certain favored employers, with whom Mr. Hoffa has special business or social ties, reap a profit by reason of those relationships, and whether special deals or side arrangements are made which circumscribe the Teamsters' written contract.
