Brian King was honorably discharged from the United States Navy five years ago. He'd left with the highest honors a man can receive in his country, but he'd paid the ultimate price to earn them. He was considered one of the best; an Intelligence Officer in a Joint Special Operations Delta team that'd been a twelve-man wrecking crew. They'd thought they were invincible... until they weren't. Brian was the only member that survived the ambush. He survived ten months of pain, of torture, only to emerge on the other side a warrior. A POW survivor. He'd returned home with all his limbs, his right mind, and with his only brother Ford, at his side. But, one thing had been lost, maybe for good... his voice. Now, being a bounty hunter is Brian's only means to satisfy his need to calculate, track, and capture. His only outlet to the stress caused by his silence. He was good at what he did. But, all work and no play for a forty-four year old man was taking its toll. Brian wasn't a faulty experiment. He missed companionship, he missed communicating. So, when he met Sway Hamilton - in the most unconventional means - he'd been surprised at his special way of understanding Brian's every look... and touch. Sway grew up in the rough part of ATL, trailing behind his twin brother Stanton and his best friend, Dana. He and his brother had a bond only twins could understand. So when Stanton's life was taken during their sophomore year in college, Sway didn't think he'd ever recover. He finally finished school, got his masters in nursing, worked hard, and focused on taking care of his mother. However, Sway knew there was more to life than heartache, and caring for others. There had to be. But he didn't know what any of those things were until he met a dark hunter that blew his mind... and the intense man had never uttered a single word. Brian and Sway can feel the powerful connection between them. It was there from the start-but both of them have battled with loss and anguish for so long, neither understand that love can ease all of it. Do they have the courage to battle through it together? Sway has to learn to trust in love, and Brian has to believe that Sway will always understand him even if he never speaks again.

A Huey helicopter escorted by two assault Charlie-model gunship helicopters are flying somewhere over the South Vietnam jungles in search of a sniper and his spotter. Not able to locate or make contact with them and with enemy fire increasing, they have to cancel their mission and hopefully come back later. As they begin to fly away, the door gunner from the second gunship sees the sniper and spotter running through the jungle. Realizing there is not enough time for the Huey to turn back, his pilot breaks toward an area where they can pick up the sniper and spotter. Enemy fire picks up as the sniper and spotter run toward the gunship while the door gunner keeps them covered with his M60 machine gun. As the two soldiers jump into the cabin, the crew chief is mortally wounded with an enemy round. As they fly away, the sniper and spotter fight desperately to save his life. Arriving back to a MASH unit, the pilot, copilot, gunner, sniper, and spotter all stand close to the dying crew chief. As the crew chief slowly dies, his last request is for them to promise to look after his wife should she ever need help. All five make the promise. About forty-five years later, the gunner receives a telephone call from the crew chief's wife regarding their promise.

The Legend of Levitika: The City of Angels By: B.D. Weddell Markus of Nineveh has had his fair share of tragedies. Having no memory of a mother, a father slayed by a Hunter of Baron Ovid, and his sister Ruth is now plagued by an ancient disease not seen since before the New Age began a millennium ago. With no one able—or willing—to help, Markus is forced to make ends meet and care for Ruth himself, a difficult task for one still so young. One night, Markus is approached by an ancient spirit in his dream, who tells him of a kingdom lost in-between fable and legend; a city hidden among the clouds, away from the Northern Wastelands wrought with radiation, monsters, and war. It is here where Markus is promised peace, tranquility, and, more importantly, a cure for his little sister. Now Markus must make a decision. Will he risk the dangerous and cold wastelands with sick Ruth and his new friend, Ashlyn, in order to face the dangers between here and the kingdom no one has ever found? Will he risk being hunted by bounty hunters and mutants in the wintery world outside Nineveh's high walls? Is there even a chance that the City of Angels even exists? Or will Markus lose everything he has left in this world because of a dream?

The Da Vinci Code meets Stephen Greenblatt's The Swerve in this erudite adventure story set at the dawn of the printed book about the outlaw poet François Villon and the power of words to change the world. François Villon, the world's first poet of modernity, was born in Paris in 1431. He was arrested and condemned to death by hanging in 1462 and exonerated in 1463. Shortly after his release from prison, as far as history is concerned, he disappeared forever. In Raphaël Jerusalmy's thrilling novel, to ensure his release, Villon has accepted a shady deal offered by the Bishop of Paris at the behest of Louis XI. All Villon has to do to earn his freedom is to convince a printer and bookseller to move from Mayence to Paris, telling him that by doing so he'll be better able to circulate progressive ideas that aren't approved of in Rome. Not surprisingly, Villon's task becomes more complicated that it first seemed. With this riveting tale of plots and counterplots involving secret organizations in Jerusalem, intrigue in France, and brigands in Italy, Raphaël Jerusalmy leaves readers with their hearts racing and their imaginations stirred. The Brotherhood of Book Hunters is an irresistible read for lovers of books, adventure, and fine writing.
