Honor related violence is generally associated with crimes committed by people from the Middle East and adjacent areas. On November 8, 1985, 18-year-old Tom Odle brutally murdered his parents and three siblings in the small southern Illinois town of Mount Vernon, sending shockwaves throughout the nation.
