The committee on centennial exercises presented the following report, which was accepted and adopted: The committee appointed to consider and report upon the question of centennial exercises during the sessions of Synod the coming year begs leave to recommend as follows: 1. That the afternoon following the organization of the Synod be spent in services commemorative of Gods providential dealings wdtli this body during the last century, the particular order of these services to be arranged by the committee on devotional exercises. 2. That these exercises consist of the reading of appropriate scriptures, of prayer and praise, the reading of the papers specified below, and voluntary addresses by members of the Synod. 3. That the Rev. E. M. Patterson be appointed to present a brief historical sketch of the Synod during the past century. 4. That the Rev. Robert Davidson, D. D., be appointed to present brief biographical sketches of distinguished members of this Synod who have lived and died during the same period.
