This report presents a cost analysis of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bimodal production from polymer grade (PG) ethylene and 1-hexene using a slurry loop process. The process described is similar to Chevron Phillips’ MarTECH Advanced Dual Loop (ADL) technology and INEOS Innovene S processes. In this study, the polymerization reaction yielding bimodal HDPE is carried out in a dual loop reactor.
