DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe sound of the river, ever-present, had finally intruded on his consciousness. If Nate was playing by himself outside, that damn river was too close for comfort. Instantly forgetting everything else, John hurried to the door, pushed it right open, stepped to the edge. John Quarry is on vacation with his small son, Nate, when a tragedy occurs: during an overnight stop in the Fraser Canyon, the child disappears and is presumed lost to the river. The coroner's verdict is death by drowning, although the body is never recovered. While the authorities consider the matter closed, a provocative dream convinces John that his son is not dead, but stolen. With little hope and only a single clue, John sets out on a desperate search. It takes him from B.C. to bustling Calgary where he is arrested, to the Alberta badlands where he is nearly murdered, and to the foothills of the towering Rocky Mountains where he is forced to undertake a final, perilous journey. To find his son and save his own life, John must be more than brave and better than clever. He must have the blind faith found only in a parent in extremes.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe go-ahead man must understand the purpose of a wife, and he must realize that marrying a woman does not make her a wife. The go-ahead man must also obey God and do as God have commanded him; this is why he needs a help meet. If the man is not doing what God has commanded him, he doesnt need a help meet: lets face it, men, we dont need help when we are not doing anything; he can do that all by himself. In a Christian marriage we must understand that God created the union of marriage and he knows what it takes to make it work. Every man has the ability to be a go-ahead man, all he needs is himself. What something is worth will be determined by what someone will give for it. Just like Christ gave himself for the church? The go-ahead man gives himself for the marriage. The man must understand that he is the head, not because he is smarter, stronger, or because he is a good provider: he is simply the head because thats what the Word of God said. The mans failure to function as the head is a lack of belief in Gods Word. As Christians we must realize who the real enemy is. One thing that the go-ahead man must get very skillful at, especially when relating to his wife, is recognizing when Satan comes into the conversation. Satans desire is to destroy the union of marriage. I believe the reason that destruction of the marriage is so high on Satans priority list is because Satan knows if he destroys the marriage then he can disrupt the church, and if the church is not in place, then he can win a community and finally a nation. But I thank God that Satans plan will not work because Jesus said in Mark 10:9, What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKFrom New York Times bestselling author Harry Turtledove, the modern master of alternate history, a novel of alien contact set in the tumultuous year of the Watergate scandal. It's 1974, and Jerry Stieglitz is a grad student in marine biology at UCLA with a side gig selling short stories to science fiction magazines, just weeks away from marrying his longtime fiancée. Then his life is upended by grim-faced men from three-letter agencies who want him to join a top-secret "Project Azorian" in the middle of the north Pacific Ocean—and they really don't take "no" for an answer. Further, they're offering enough money to solve all of his immediate problems. Joining up and swearing to secrecy, what he first learns is that Project Azorian is secretly trying to raise a sunken Russian submarine, while pretending to be harvesting undersea manganese nodules. But the dead Russian sub, while real, turns out to be a cover story as well. What's down on the ocean floor next to it is the thing that killed the sub: an alien spacecraft. Jerry's a scientist, a longhair, a storyteller, a dreamer. He stands out like a sore thumb on the Glomar Explorer, a ship full of CIA operatives, RAND Corporation eggheads, and roustabout divers. But it turns out that he's the one person in the North Pacific who's truly thought out all the ways that human-alien first contact might go. And meanwhile, it's still 1974 back on the mainland. Richard Nixon is drinking heavily and talking to the paintings on the White House walls. The USA is changing fast—and who knows what will happen when this story gets out? Three Miles Down is both a fresh and original take on First Contact, and a hugely enjoyable romp through the pop culture, political tumult, and conspiracies-within-conspiracies atmosphere that was 1974. They seldom see each other except at the annual family reunion, Book 10 brings these people together for their final reunion in the territory of Wyoming the first week of October, 1959. Some come from Scotland by ship, join others in NYC, ride a train to Omaha, and a stagecoach to Wyoming. Others riding a train from western Virginia mountains, joined them in Pittsburg. Some came by wagon train from western Kentucky.
