James Kirkham was baptized in 1762 in Bath, Somersetshire, England. He married Ann Jeatt in 1813 and later died in 1832. His son, George (1822-1896), was born at Shreditch, London and later married Mary Ann Astington in 1844. They joined the L.D.S. Church in 1854 and came to Utah in 1859. Descendants lived in Utah and elsewhere.
