Excerpt from General Orders on Safety Building Construction: Revised, 1918 Before printing the present edition the committee was again called together to consider certain changes suggested by the experience of the past four years. These changes were of minor importance and were adopted without controversy, ex cept those relating to temporary floors on steel structures. On this subject representatives of the steel contractors and work men were called into consultation by the committee, and the amendments finally adopted were agreed to unanimously. These changes became effective July 6, 1918. In this edition there have also been included a few extracts from the general orders on safety relating to the guarding of machinery, and other hazards found on construction work as well as in factories. These orders are not new, having been in force for several years. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
