Sure, she's always been a fool for love—what woman isn't? But Elinor knows the difference between fiction and truth. Daydreams and reality. True love and false promises . . . Until the unthinkable happens, and Elinor's engagement is suddenly terminated and no one, least of all her fiancé, will tell her why. He wants nothing more than to marry Elinor, the woman of his wildest dreams. But Elinor's father forbids it . . . and soon Michael is faced with a desperate choice: Spare Elinor a life with a broken man or risk everything to win her heart—until death do they part?

The publication of the King James version of the Bible, translated between 1603 and 1611, coincided with an extraordinary flowering of English literature and is universally acknowledged as the greatest influence on English-language literature in history. Now, world-class literary writers introduce the book of the King James Bible in a series of beautifully designed, small-format volumes. The introducers' passionate, provocative, and personal engagements with the spirituality and the language of the text make the Bible come alive as a stunning work of literature and remind us of its overwhelming contemporary relevance.

(On cover) Why, really, is this modern-day bride holding a 2000-year-old oil lamp, for light, and knocking on a door that seems to be permanently closed to her? In the year 2001, in response to certain misguided critics, I set out to write this book with a view to finish it in six months; and I did! So I thought! But shortly after, the Lord began to show me certain crucial points that I overlooked but which needed to be made for a clear and full understanding of His will. Each time I thought I finished the book the Lord revealed more significant things, such as why, really, He projects Himself as locked out of the seventh and last of the seven churches, in Revelation 2-3 (each church apparently speaking to an era in the history of the church), and why five of the ten virgins got locked out of the marriage chamber by the Bridegroom (relating to Matthew 25:1-13), among many other things including how these things relate to Christians today and how they will affect us ultimately and individually. So now, finally, the book is finished; 208 pages of vital information, with a certain sense of urgency being indicated by the Lord. I trust that the reader will urgently and diligently look into what is written in this book, with a view to not be among the foolish believers, which most Christians will ultimately be categorized as by the Lord, at His Coming. For as He said, "many are called but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14). (Once visited by an angel, before sometime later [also in a dream] meeting the Lord God, on the side of a mountain [see Profile], Sam Phillips was called away from a successful fine art career to be a prophet to the church now mired in spiritual deception and disobedience to God.)

With two matchmakers on the loose in the Amish community of Birch Creek, the new innkeeper doesn’t stand a chance in this sweet Amish romance. When Selah Ropp returns to Birch Creek, she is a different person than when she left. I know I haven’t done much listening in the past, Lord, she prays. But I’m listening now. Her new friend, Cevilla Schlabach, urges her to let go of regrets and allow this to be a fresh start. Cevilla herself, though, hides a secret longing behind her weathered face. Levi Stoll and his family spent a year transforming a large English house into a small inn. Now that they are open for business, Levi is pleased to have Selah join them as an employee—as long as his grandmother doesn’t try any matchmaking schemes on the two of them. After all, Selah seems as guarded as he feels, and the last thing he wants is for anyone to remind him of his history. With Kathleen Fuller’s trademark humor and memorable characters, The Innkeeper’s Bride reminds us that God’s grace in the present and our hope for the future is stronger than any pain of the past. Sweet Amish romance Full-length novel Third in the Brides of Birch Creek series, but can be read as a stand-alone
