DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe City of Sioux City, Iowa (the City), in coordination with the Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is evaluating potential alternatives for a project to maintain, improve, or replace the Kings Highway Bridge located in the City within Woodbury County, Iowa (the project). The Kings Highway Bridge was load limited to 3 tons in April 1994 and was closed in September 2008 because of its ongoing deterioration. The bridge has structural and functional issues that need to be addressed. The proposed alternative is to replace the bridge near its current location. Additionally, the project would improve the bridge approaches between Perry Way and Meadow Lane; the intersections would not be rebuilt under this proposed action.
