DOWNLOAD EBOOKF.E.A.R. is an inspirational, true story that serves as an instant motivator for anyone out there that has gone through trials and tribulations in life. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems, but it's the paralyzing FEAR that difficult circumstances in life continually produce in our minds that cause us to go to pieces when faced with extreme adversities. The mental, emotional and spiritual effects can be catastrophic or sometimes even fatal. This book was designed to help the millions of people world-wide that are currently going through something very difficult in life such as physical health issues, mental illness, financial problems, anxiety, addiction, heartbreak, failed relationships, parenting obstacles, death of a loved one, self-esteem trouble, spiritual warfare, mental/emotional trauma and much more. Each of these things have one thing in common; they thrive and survive on our FEAR. The main character, Brittney Carr, faced nearly ALL these issues at one point in her life and although triumphant in the end, there was a point in time in which LIFE unfortunately took an extremely negative & life-threatening toll on her physically, spiritually and emotionally causing her to attempt suicide 4 times in just 6 months. Her children were unlawfully snatched from her custody, she lost everything in Hurricane Harvey, sudden chronic anxiety handicapped her to the point of not being able to leave the house, she lost 100% of her eyesight and the list goes on. Brittney is a Christian and firm believer in God whose faith was tested through FEAR time after time again until she discovered that FEAR is nothing more than "False Evidence Appearing Real". The problem is that FEAR is all around us and we will never escape it. If we don't learn to conquer it by properly dealing with it, we eventually lose this ongoing mental battle. It's not what we go through, it's our perspective on life's events and our reaction to them that determines the reality of our fate especially when FEAR is a factor. As she dealt with tragedy left and right watching her world crumble right before her eyes, she learned she had ONLY two choices when faced with FEAR. Choose the negative way out which would be to "Forget Everything and Run" or be a brave and faithful child of God and "Face Everything and Recover". She learns that even though FEAR caused her to stop believing in God temporarily at one point, God never stopped believing in her. After having a spiritual awakening amidst her many tests in life, today she remains a faithful follower of Christ. Brittney and her husband now run a ministry geared towards helping those that are spiritually lost and suffering. Everyone deals with FEAR. Most of us deal with it daily in a very unhealthy way. Her story shows God's miracle-power in action as she beats all odds & learns that the secret to conquering FEAR once and for all is through FAITH. Serving as a true, living testimony to others around the world, she discovers that FEAR is the opposite of FAITH and that FEAR cannot exist in the presence of FAITH. Therefore, true unwavering FAITH in God conquers ALL!

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis is the first book to challenge the broken-windows theory of crime, which argues that permitting minor misdemeanors, such as loitering and vagrancy, to go unpunished only encourages more serious crime. The theory has revolutionized policing in the United States and abroad, with its emphasis on policies that crack down on disorderly conduct and aggressively enforce misdemeanor laws. The problem, argues Bernard Harcourt, is that although the broken-windows theory has been around for nearly thirty years, it has never been empirically verified. Indeed, existing data suggest that it is false. Conceptually, it rests on unexamined categories of law abiders and disorderly people and of order and disorder, which have no intrinsic reality, independent of the techniques of punishment that we implement in our society. How did the new order-maintenance approach to criminal justice--a theory without solid empirical support, a theory that is conceptually flawed and results in aggressive detentions of tens of thousands of our fellow citizens--come to be one of the leading criminal justice theories embraced by progressive reformers, policymakers, and academics throughout the world? This book explores the reasons why. It also presents a new, more thoughtful vision of criminal justice.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKDomestic lawyers are, above all, officers of the court. By contrast, the public international lawyer representing states before international tribunals is torn between loyalties to the state and loyalties to international law. As the stakes increase for the state concerned, the tension between these loyalties can become acute and lead to practices that would be condemned in developed national legal systems but have hitherto been ignored by international tribunals in international legal scholarship. They are the 'dirty stories' of international law. This detailed and contextually sensitive presentation of eight important cases before a variety of public international tribunals dissects some of the reasons for the resort to fraudulent evidence in international litigation and the profession's baffling reaction. Fraudulent evidence is resorted to out of greed, moral mediocrity or inherent dishonesty. In public international litigation, by contrast, the reasons are often more complex, with roots in the dynamics of international politics.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKWhen Teresa Halbach went missing and was presumed dead, the police targeted Steven Avery for the crime. But Avery’s 16-year-old nephew Brendan Dassey told the police that he saw Halbach driving away from Avery’s property the day she supposedly was murdered. This version of events would be devastating to the state’s case if it ever reached Avery’s jury. The police decided to interrogate young Dassey again. For their next go-around they questioned him four times in 48 hours—each time without an adult present and often without reading him his Miranda rights. During this process, the interrogators not only coerced the learning-disabled child into changing his story, but they also got him to confess to participating in the murder! Even though Dassey’s so-called confession was contradicted by all of the physical evidence, the jury believed it and found him guilty. Now, more than a decade after the trial, the saga lives on. Although a federal district court reversed Dassey’s conviction, a flip-flopping federal appeals court eventually reversed the reversal. Dassey remains convicted and incarcerated; the Supreme Court of the United States is his last hope. Anatomy of a False Confession: The Interrogation and Conviction of Brendan Dassey answers several questions, including: Why did Dassey agree to talk to his interrogators in the first place? Why weren’t they required to read him his Miranda rights? Most significantly, how did the interrogators get Dassey to confess to a crime he did not commit? If Dassey was innocent, where did he get the details for his so-called confession? Why did the jury ignore the physical evidence and convict Dassey of murder? And why did the federal courts reverse Dassey’s conviction, only to reverse their own reversal? Anatomy of a False Confession takes the reader inside the interrogation room and inside the courtroom to expose the interrogators’ tricks, the prosecutors’ ploys, and the judicial sleight of hand that conspired to put Dassey behind bars—probably for the rest of his life. The book also discusses several ways that the law should be reformed to avoid future injustices.

DOWNLOAD EBOOK“Empowering and thoroughly researched, this book offers useful contemporary analysis and possible solutions to one of the greatest threats to democracy.” —Kirkus Reviews Editors’ choice, The New York Times Book Review Recommended reading, Scientific American Why should we care about having true beliefs? And why do demonstrably false beliefs persist and spread despite bad, even fatal, consequences for the people who hold them? Philosophers of science Cailin O’Connor and James Weatherall argue that social factors, rather than individual psychology, are what’s essential to understanding the spread and persistence of false beliefs. It might seem that there’s an obvious reason that true beliefs matter: false beliefs will hurt you. But if that’s right, then why is it (apparently) irrelevant to many people whether they believe true things or not? The Misinformation Age, written for a political era riven by “fake news,” “alternative facts,” and disputes over the validity of everything from climate change to the size of inauguration crowds, shows convincingly that what you believe depends on who you know. If social forces explain the persistence of false belief, we must understand how those forces work in order to fight misinformation effectively. “[The authors] deftly apply sociological models to examine how misinformation spreads among people and how scientific results get misrepresented in the public sphere.” —Andrea Gawrylewski, Scientific American “A notable new volume . . . The Misinformation Age explains systematically how facts are determined and changed—whether it is concerning the effects of vaccination on children or the Russian attack on the integrity of the electoral process.” —Roger I. Abrams, New York Journal of Books

DOWNLOAD EBOOK"The United States Code is the official codification of the general and permanent laws of the United States of America. The Code was first published in 1926, and a new edition of the code has been published every six years since 1934. The 2012 edition of the Code incorporates laws enacted through the One Hundred Twelfth Congress, Second Session, the last of which was signed by the President on January 15, 2013. It does not include laws of the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress, First Session, enacted between January 2, 2013, the date it convened, and January 15, 2013. By statutory authority this edition may be cited "U.S.C. 2012 ed." As adopted in 1926, the Code established prima facie the general and permanent laws of the United States. The underlying statutes reprinted in the Code remained in effect and controlled over the Code in case of any discrepancy. In 1947, Congress began enacting individual titles of the Code into positive law. When a title is enacted into positive law, the underlying statutes are repealed and the title then becomes legal evidence of the law. Currently, 26 of the 51 titles in the Code have been so enacted. These are identified in the table of titles near the beginning of each volume. The Law Revision Counsel of the House of Representatives continues to prepare legislation pursuant to 2 U.S.C. 285b to enact the remainder of the Code, on a title-by-title basis, into positive law. The 2012 edition of the Code was prepared and published under the supervision of Ralph V. Seep, Law Revision Counsel. Grateful acknowledgment is made of the contributions by all who helped in this work, particularly the staffs of the Office of the Law Revision Counsel and the Government Printing Office"--Preface.
