DOWNLOAD EBOOKKenai River Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) passage was estimated in 2014 at RM 8.6 using dual-frequency identification sonar (DIDSON). Estimates of midriver Chinook salmon passage between and at least 3 m from the transducers were 4,862 (SE 338) fish for the early run (16 May-30 June) and 13,952 (SE 492) fish for the late run (1 July-15 August). Methods and result from a second experimental sonar site located above tidal influence at RM 13.7 are presented in a separate report.
