From the cavemen to Platos conception of the cave; from the mothers cavernous womb to the cavernous spaces in the wombs of the earth, from where all springs and grows; from the firstborn light reaching us from the darkest depths of space to the dimmest light that our soul sheds on the world, our love for wisdom or the wisdom of love will master us forevermore. Cave as a temporary state of being as a traverse through life as an experience and from that as a derivative to knowledge, for our development and advancement physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. We can contemplate cave as mystery, as a space of distrust of danger, darkness, lingering light, our ignorance, or innocence, yet it is a space of temptation, of strange and powerful emotions, primordial yet known to us since the birth of this world in our seemingly infinite line of evolution. Cave as a space of contradictions, a space of darkness versus light, a space of ignorance versus knowledge, of falsity versus truth, of passion versus ecstasy, of earthly versus the heavenly. Some of those caves are extremely dangerous, yet like a necessity in our unexplained ability to surrender, we surrender and we abandon ourselves in their powerful presence. We enter in with feelings of temptation, of dilemma, of ambivalence, of fear. We enter as if pulled in by mysterious forces at times unable to resist them even if we fear destruction, our own destruction. Those are the deepest, darkest most dangerous caves, yet we enter, many already have and others will and will enter them unprepared and most vulnerable. We pray for them to survive their magic powers and to exit if necessary by a miracle, to exit wiser and tell the world of their wisdom, for they will be wiser, wiser than they were before, and the one who listens of their wisdom will be wiser too. Of that wisdom I like to share with all who like to know, with my works of the Caves of the Heart. Listen as they tell in their deafening silence of the story of my surrender, of my love for wisdom, and maybe, of the wisdom of love.

Long ago we humans used a form of communication and sensing that did not involve the brain in any way; rather, it came from a sacred place within our hearts. What good would it do to find this place again? This is a book of remembering. You have always had this place within your heart, and it is still there now. It existed before creation, and it will exist even after the last star shines its brilliant light. At night when you enter your dreams, you leave your mind and enter the sacred space of your heart. But do you remember? Or do you only remember the dream? Why am I telling you about this "something" that is fading from our memories? What good would it do to find this place again in a world where the greatest religion is science and the logic of the mind? Don't I know where emotions and feelings are second-class citizens? Yes, I do. But my teachers have asked me to remind you who you really are. You are more than just a human being, much more. For within your heart is a place, a sacred place, where the world can literally be remade through conscious cocreation. If you really want peace of spirit and if you want to return home, I invite you into the beauty of your own heart. With your permission, I will show you what has been shown to me. I will give you the exact instructions to the pathway into your heart where you and God are intimately one. It is your choice. But I must warn you: Within this experience resides great responsibility. Life knows when a spirit is born to the higher worlds, and life will use you as all the great masters who have ever lived have been used. If you read this book and do the meditation and then expect nothing to change in your life, you may get caught spiritually napping. Once you have entered the light of the great darkness, your life will change -- eventually, you will remember who you really are.

An in-depth spiritual journey through the truths and traumas of one’s past to a rebirth and renewal of personal wholeness. To the ancients, the goddess Hekate symbolized the inner journey back to the soul. Indeed, ancient philosophers identified her as Anima Mundi, the “soul of the world.” As such, she connects many archetypes associated with the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. From her role as protector of roadways to her power as the bringer of death, she offers us keys for healing. Incorporating her personal experiences with those of her students, Cyndi Brannen weaves a supporting circle around the reader as they start their path towards soulful living, culminating in rebirth. Blending symbolism, transcendent experiences, dreams, and natural magic with sound psychological theories and practices, Entering Hekate’s Cave guides the reader safely through the journey back to the soul.

The Huautla in Mexico is the deepest cave in the Western Hemisphere, possibly the world. Shafts reach skyscraper-depths, caverns are stadium-sized, and sudden floods can drown divers in an instant. With a two-decade obsession, William Stone and his 44-member team entered the sinkhole at Sotano de San Augustin. The first camp settled 2,328 feet below ground in a cavern where headlamps couldn't even illuminate the walls and ceiling. The second camp teetered precariously above an underground canyon where two subterranean rivers collided. But beyond that lay the unknown territory -- a flooded corridor that had blocked all previous comers, claimed a diver's life, and drove the rest of the team back. Except for William Stone and Barbara am Ende, who forged on for 18 more days, with no hope of rescue, to set the record for the deepest cave dive in the Western Hemisphere.

Grounded in Christian love mysticism, Love’s Oneing gives voice to the luminous consciousness that awakens from within our oneness in God in contemplation. With great sensitivity, the book offers nuanced insight into the marriage of kenosis and desire in contemplation, through the rich tapestry of writings from nine mystics: Julian of Norwich, the Cloud of Unknowing author, Meister Eckhart, Mechthild of Magdeburg, Clare of Assisi, John of the Cross, Teilhard de Chardin, Beatrice Bruteau and Ilia Delio. With the delicate eye of a spiritual director immersed in mystical literature, Kerrie Hide situates these mystical teachings within contemplative prayer, whilst offering a scholarly exploration of contemplative practice to embody the insights. Deeply grounded in traditional and contemporary mystical classics, Hide celebrates how the Christian mystical tradition lays a foundation for the evolutionary growth of communion consciousness and the insights of quantum science, highlighting key moments in contemplation that when surrendered into, open into divine love. Born of intellectual reflection, lived experience and contemplative wisdom, Love’s Oneing makes a unique contribution to the existing literature on contemplation at a time when the recovery of the mystical dimension of life is crucial for the future of our planet in this climate crisis moment.
