A comprehensive framework for planning in St. Petersburg was establised with the adoption of the goals for St. Petersburg (1973) and the St. Petersburg Conceptual Plan (1974). Within this framework, the land use plan-North sets policies and programs for orderly development, redevelopment, and preservation of natural and man-made resources for the North Sector of the City. This plan will serve as a basis for rezoning and capitol improvemnets over a ten year period. It will partially fulfill the requirements for the Florida "Local Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975," and will provide a revised local component to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan for Pinellas County.
