Das Ziel der Therapie besteht in der Stabilisierung oder Förderung von Mentalisierung besonders in interpersonell affektiven Kontexten, wofür sich zunächst die Beziehung zum Therapeuten besonders eignet. Bei dem hier vorliegenden Werk handelt es sich um eine verdichtete Fassung des aktuellen MBT-Manuals in deutscher Sprache, in dem das therapeutische Vorgehen zudem anhand eines ausführlichen Fallbeispiels veranschaulicht wird.
