These proceedings represent the work of researchers participating in the 16th European Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security (ECCWS 2017) which is being hosted this year by University College Dublin, Ireland on 29-30 June 2017. ECCWS is a recognised event on the international research conferences calendar and provides a valuable platform for individuals to present their research findings, display their work in progress and discuss conceptual and empirical advances in the areas of Cyber Warfare and Security. It provides an important opportunity for researchers and practitioners to come together to share their experiences of researching in this varied and expanding field. The conference this year will be opened with a keynote presentation by Paul Gillen. The second day of the conference will be opened by Andy Jones who will be talking about Information Warfare - Is it time to re-think our approach?. With an initial submission of 155 abstracts, after the double blind, peer-review process there are 76 academic Research papers, 10 PhD Research, 7 Masters Research, 6 Work in Progress papers and a non-academic contribution published in these Conference Proceedings. These papers represent truly global research in the field, with contributions from Australia, Austria, Botswana, Czech Republic, Finland, Ghana, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Mozambique, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Syria, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America.

These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 19th European Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security (ECCWS 2020), supported by University of Chester, UK on 25-26 June 2020. The Conference Co-chairs are Dr Thaddeus Eze and Dr Lee Speakman, both from University of Chester and the Programme Chair is Dr Cyril Onwubiko from IEEE and Director, Cyber Security Intelligence at Research Series Limited. ECCWS is a well-established event on the academic research calendar and now in its 19th year the key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet. The conference was due to be held at University of Chester, UK, but due to the global Covid-19 pandemic it was moved online to be held as a virtual event. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting conference. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing area of research.

The Internet of Things is a technological revolution that represents the future of computing and communications. Even though efforts have been made to standardize Internet of Things devices and how they communicate with the web, a uniform architecture is not followed. This inconsistency directly impacts and limits security standards that need to be put in place to secure the data being exchanged across networks. Cryptographic Security Solutions for the Internet of Things is an essential reference source that discusses novel designs and recent developments in cryptographic security control procedures to improve the efficiency of existing security mechanisms that can help in securing sensors, devices, networks, communication, and data in the Internet of Things. With discussions on cryptographic algorithms, encryption techniques, and authentication procedures, this book is ideally designed for managers, IT consultants, startup companies, ICT procurement managers, systems and network integrators, infrastructure service providers, students, researchers, and academic professionals.

The book illustrates the inter-relationship between several data management, analytics and decision support techniques and methods commonly adopted in Cybersecurity-oriented frameworks. The recent advent of Big Data paradigms and the use of data science methods, has resulted in a higher demand for effective data-driven models that support decision-making at a strategic level. This motivates the need for defining novel data analytics and decision support approaches in a myriad of real-life scenarios and problems, with Cybersecurity-related domains being no exception. This contributed volume comprises nine chapters, written by leading international researchers, covering a compilation of recent advances in Cybersecurity-related applications of data analytics and decision support approaches. In addition to theoretical studies and overviews of existing relevant literature, this book comprises a selection of application-oriented research contributions. The investigations undertaken across these chapters focus on diverse and critical Cybersecurity problems, such as Intrusion Detection, Insider Threats, Insider Threats, Collusion Detection, Run-Time Malware Detection, Intrusion Detection, E-Learning, Online Examinations, Cybersecurity noisy data removal, Secure Smart Power Systems, Security Visualization and Monitoring. Researchers and professionals alike will find the chapters an essential read for further research on the topic.
