David Beach was born 14 December 1816 in Adams County, Ohio. His parents were Stephen Beach and Sarah Sherwood. He married Rebecca Firebaugh 11 April 1839 in Marion, Ohio. They had nine children. They lived in Ohio, Illinois and Texas. David was a physician. He is believed to be the founder of Berwick, Ohio. He died 31 October 1885 in Gonzales, Texas.
