If something is part of you, then you will only struggle to let go of it, but the reality remains that you can only attempt and not erase it because it is part of your very existence. Mistake is part of every human and that is why we can only attempt to exonerate ourselves from mistakes, but it is a task that we will continue to do until the very end. Some of the things that normally cost us our future are those things that we regard as being nothing, but in reality that is what will bring us down unexpectedly. The truth of life is such that if we believe that we can come up with a perfect decision on any issue, then we will always be a victim of illusion because in every decision we make in life, there will certainly occur that part of which we will fail to notice and that will be a destructive part that will affect the whole of our actions until the very end. The way to lead a successful life is to be ready to accept the fact that we are prone to making mistakes and that mistake is inevitable as far as our lives are concern so that we can guide ourselves towards making decision as well as being able to make amend when new facts come in. The reason why many people make the worst mistakes of their lives is that they do not accept the reality that their nature is ingrained in faults. Once you cannot believe in the natural possibility of having error in any of your actions and decisions, then you will always live in a world where illusion rules. We may have everything it takes to be careful of our actions, we may have what it takes to lead a principled life and we may be very cautious of our faults, but the truth is that all these human skills and knowledge are not enough to exonerate us from making mistake, which is why we have to come down from that high hill and accept the reality of our own making and that mistake is deeply rooted in us no matter how we try to live our lives. If you can accept that mistake and try to live with the aim of minimizing it, then it becomes very easy for you to curtail it, but as for doing away with it, that is where our own authority as human reaches its dead end. However, if you cannot accept that you can make the worst of mistake in life, then you will only fall deep into a place of no return before you can realize it yourself. There are things that we neglect in life, but those things are some of the things that will help us to live a happy life if only we can take note of them and they are discussed thoroughly in this book.

A passionate defence of humanity and a work of radical optimism from the international bestselling author of Postcapitalism How do we preserve what makes us human in an age of uncertainty? Are we now just consumers shaped by market forces? A sequence of DNA? A collection of base instincts? Or will we soon be supplanted by algorithms and A.I. anyway? In Clear Bright Future, Paul Mason calls for a radical, impassioned defence of the human being, our universal rights and freedoms and our power to change the world around us. Ranging from economics to Big Data, from neuroscience to the culture wars, he draws from his on-the-ground reporting from mass protests in Istanbul to riots in Washington, as well as his own childhood in an English mining community, to show how the notion of humanity has become eroded as never before. In this book Paul Mason argues that we are still capable - through language, innovation and co-operation - of shaping our future. He offers a vision of humans as more than puppets, customers or cogs in a machine. This work of radical optimism asks: Do you want to be controlled? Or do you want something better?

The 2020s present a decade of unprecedented disruption. We have now reached a point where people are overwhelmed and numb to the ever-present news of threat after threat, and challenge after challenge. It’s time for leaders to tell a different story of six powerful aspirations – connection, vitality, peace, abundance, opportunity and wisdom. This is a vision "beyond sustainability", to inspire organisations and people to bring the best of who they are into service of the brighter future that is already emerging. Alongside the obvious disruptive challenges of climate change, wars and the pandemic, technology has evolved at a blistering pace. Through technological advances in five sectors – energy, transport, materials, food and manufacturing – we are already transforming the world as we know it. The book seeks to give readers the confidence that there is real hope for a brighter future for our world using these developments and other innovations. The text is supported by inspiring case studies of people and organisations who are already doing amazing things. Crucially, the book highlights the many ways that leaders and organisations can contribute to a better world and encourages dialogue between organisations and people who might not naturally connect. It describes 12 archetypes in organisations that must collaborate in teams to deliver solutions. It also emphasises the need for wise leadership and conscious alignment of everyone to our "brighter future". A manifesto for positive change, this is the perfect book to help turn the UN Sustainable Development Goals into action and to envisage a positive future for leaders at every level in organisations.
