Se han estudiado los conceptos de hombre, verdad y moral en la Antropología de X. Zubiri, buscando lo que pueden aportar a la consideración de la filosofía como filosofía de la praxis. A este respecto se han analizado las tres problemáticas a la luz de la consideración del hombre como estando en la realidad y realizándose en ella. Desde esta perspectiva, la verdad ha aparecido como un componente esencial de la praxis humana por la consideración zubiriana del saber humano como saber estar en la realidad. La moral ha sido tratada, más que como un problema de conceptos, como la instancia última en la que se desarrollan los poderes realizativos del hombre. A este respecto se ha hecho especial hincapié en la dimensión social e histórica de la moral. La definición de la realidad humana como estando realizativamente en la realidad, ha tenido que ser enfrentada con las visiones relativistas e historicistas que han puesto en cuestión estos poderes realizativos.

Is theology a dead corpse or living organism? For Uruguayan Jesuit Juan Luis Segundo (1925-1996), theology is dynamic. Freedom and existence for central themes. Segundo believed that theology should be transformative in human lives. For a theology to be transformative, there must be a connection to existence. That is, it must be existential. Yet most scholars have overlooked this assumption in critical analyses of liberation theology. This prima facie connection to existence is distinguishable from existentialism as a school of philosophy. By showing the significant existential dimension to Segundo's theology, assessing his work and contribution to twentieth-century theology relates to freedom, ecumenism, the role of faith in society, and the relationship between faith and ideologies.
