The Code of Federal Regulations is a codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the Executive departments and agencies of the United States Federal Government.
42 CFR Parts 400 to 413 covers Medicare program federal health insurance for the aged and disabled. It covers hospital insurance eligibility and entitlement, plus hospital insurance benefits and premiums for supplementary medical insurance (SMI) enrollment and entitlement, plus exclusions from Medicare, and limitations on Medicare payment. American citizens and senior citizens enrolled in Medicare health insurance programs may be interested in these requirements and eligibility.
