Excerpt from By-Laws and Charter of St. Paul's Royal Arch Chapter, Boston; Instituted A. D. 1818: Together With Biographical Sketches of Distinguished Members Sect. 3. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to receive all moneys from the Secretary, and all inter est, dividends, profits, and income from the Board of Trustees, giving receipts therefor and, whenever the funds in his hands shall exceed Five Hundred Dol lars, he shall pay the said excess to the Board of Trustees. He shall pay all bills which have been approved by the Council, and all appropriations made by the Chapter. At the close of each year, and previous to the Annual Convocation of the Chapter, he shall render to the Council a just and fair account of all moneys received and paid by him during the past year; and deliver to his successor in office, or the Board of Trustees, all moneys remaining in his hands, and. All other property belonging to this Chap ter intrusted to his care; and he shall be exempt from quarterages.
