Excerpt from Census of India, 1911, Vol. 10: Central Provinces and Berar; Part II Tables This table shows for each district the area, the number of towns and vil lages, the number of occupied houses and the total urban and rural population, male and female. Similar figures are given for the Feudatory States. The difference between some of the areas here shown and those in the corresponding table of 1901 is due to inter-district transfers, as explained on the title-page of Table 11. For the purpose of column 3 (number of towns) Cantonments have been treated as forming part of the Municipalities which they adjoin. The main statistics for Tahsils will be found in Provincial Tables I and II at the end of the Volume. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
