So far as possible, the arrangement has been chronological, begin ning with Frame I and continuing to Frame 18. In a few cases, errors of dates were discovered subsequent to the plac ing. These have been corrected in the Catalogue, but it has not yet been possible to change the position of the portraits in the frames.
