The number googol has been defined as 1 followed by a hundred zeros: googol = 10^100 = 10 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 The much larger number googolplex has been defined as 1 followed by a googol zeros.
