La primera edición de este libro guía se hizo para que los estudiantes tuvieran un acercamiento con la clínica antes de llegar a la práctica. Esta segunda edición cambia las metodologías para ajustarlas a la virtualidad. Aunque suene paradójico decir práctica virtual, es la única opción en el momento, y tanto profesores como estudiantes deben adaptarse a esta nueva eventualidad. También, se escribió como una actualización de temas científicos que deben incorporarse para ampliar el pensamiento científico de los estudiantes en la toma de decisiones y para que entiendan la importancia que tiene el nutricionista en el equipo de salud.
