Have you ever thought about the possible relevance of Bible prophecies to our lives today? In this book, you will find new perspectives to consider on the prophecies of Daniel and related history. These viewpoints may lead to seeing our world in a different light. Stepping away from preconceived ideas about prophecies, in general, and Daniel’s visions, in particular, give new perspective based on decades of study, prayer and insightful contemplation. Compelling insights bring to light precisely how these prophetic dates are interrelated, how they have significant meaning, and may have implications for our lives today. Even though the Biblical book of Daniel was written millennia ago, interest in its meaning for faith and the heart remain. A broader perspective and the lens of history brings additional context and reconsideration to earlier interpretations. Without these perspectives, some tended to have been taken piecemeal, out of context, or viewed without an understanding of the role of each element in their interrelation to the whole. This book reexamines many of these and more, and, based upon a review of literature, no book is found that matches the comprehensive nature regarding each of Daniel’s nine prophetic spans. Dr. Dermott brings out the meanings behind each date, and he correlates Biblical authorities with each other and with further compelling and original research. The narrative invites you to join this exciting journey and experience the exceptionally detailed unfoldment from each beginning prophetic date to its undeniable fulfillment in history.

We should begin by looking at the title for a moment, Beyond ... the ... Dam. This may seem a little out of the ordinary as it is based on only one sonnet, but this title does have a higher meaning as it focuses on raising thought beyond any limits as do many of these sonnets and poems. There are also ones with literary or historical references, and a few on the humorous side. There are many taken from my own personal experiences through the years. Included are sections on Personal Reflections, Inspirational Ideas, Personal Spiritual Growth, Bible and Christianity References, History References, True stories, Literature References and Nature. Allan writes in his Conclusion: "Reading, including not only non-fiction and fiction, but also poetry, is the closest thing to true magic that humans possess. It allows us to enter the mind of another person, to see what they see, experience what they feel, and understand their very personal perception of life. And along with this magical experience comes another fanciful and otherwise impossible idea: time travel. Reading can take us back into the thoughts of people who lived hundreds of years ago, or the inner lives of denizens of the future. Be it ancient Greece or a colony on the moon, we’re transported to worlds beyond our own, that come alive with the help of our imagination."

Is climate catastrophe inevitable? In a world of extreme inequality, rising nationalism and mounting carbon emissions, the future looks gloomy. Yet one group of environmentalists, the ‘ecomodernists’, are optimistic. They argue that technological innovation and universal human development hold the keys to an ecologically vibrant future. However, this perspective, which advocates fighting climate change with all available technologies – including nuclear power, synthetic biology and others not yet invented – is deeply controversial because it rejects the Green movement’s calls for greater harmony with nature. In this book, Jonathan Symons offers a qualified defence of the ecomodernist vision. Ecomodernism, he explains, is neither as radical or reactionary as its critics claim, but belongs in the social democratic tradition, promoting a third way between laissez-faire and anti-capitalism. Critiquing and extending ecomodernist ideas, Symons argues that states should defend against climate threats through transformative investments in technological innovation. A good Anthropocene is still possible – but only if we double down on science and humanism to push beyond the limits to growth.

P R O P H E T I C FORCE ...is a bold effort at declassification of the subject of eschatology, a branch of Christian theology that deals with the last things; the rapture of the saints, millennial reign of Jesus Christ, destruction of the earth, concept and consequence of judgements and bases of rewards. Its real emphasis is on personal revival and holy living which the study of such subject should provoke in the community of believers. It endorses the finality of the position of the Bible on all issues, upholds the values of eternal life and urges readiness for heaven by which intellectual appreciation of the subject will not be more than a desirable by-product. The book builds a strong link between various doctrines of the Bible and the ultimate purpose they are meant to serve in a simplified and authoritative manner. Its comprehensive coverage of the subject, its broad-based and open-minded approach to the treatment of issues, its analysis of current developments on worlds social, political and religious theatres, its blending of contending theories and unbiased resolution of cloudy portions of the course have combined to strengthen its appeal to those who seek sound understanding of the controversial subject. P R O P H E T I C FORCE Presents the Factual Realms of Prophecies and Passionately Explores Current Events that are Fulfilling End Time Prophecies Conveys the Imperatives for Expectant Christian Living Offers Bold and Objective Resolution of Controversies The book ... is a compilation of sound teachings on eschatology in a way that the Church has yet to have it; an all-inclusive coverage of the subject and potent armour of truth to withstand falsehood that has filtered into the Church from several directions on the account of the cloudy subject - Pastor Michael Adeoye

Making progress on complex, problematic situations requires a new approach to working together: transformative facilitation, a structured and creative process for removing the obstacles to fluid forward movement. It is becoming less straightforward for people to move forward together. They face increasing complexity and decreasing control. They need to work with more people from across more divides. In such situations, the most common ways of advancing—some people telling others what to do, or everyone just doing what they think they need to—aren't adequate. One better way is through facilitating. But the most common approaches to facilitating—bossy vertical directing from above or collegial horizontal accompanying from alongside—aren't adequate. They often leave the participants frustrated and yearning for breakthrough. This book describes a new approach: transformative facilitation. It doesn't choose either the bossy vertical or the collegial horizontal approach: it cycles back and forth between them. Rather than forcing or cajoling, the facilitator removes the obstacles that stand in the way of people contributing and connecting equitably. It enables people to bring their whole selves to the process. This book is for anyone who helps people work together to transform their situation, be it a professional facilitator, manager, consultant, coach, chairperson, organizer, mediator, stakeholder, or friend. It offers a broad and bold vision of the contribution that facilitation can make to helping people collaborate to make progress.

What if the commonly held beliefs concerning the Antichrist are mistaken? The Antichrist and the Second Coming looks at the Antichrist and the Second Advent of Christ from a preterist (i.e., past fulfillment) perspective and provides a unified interpretation of the little horn, the prince to come, the king of the North, the man of lawlessness, and the beast. This is the second in a two volume set on the Antichrist; it focuses on the book of Revelation. This edition stands on its own and is recommended reading even if you have not read the first volume (which focuses on Daniel and 2 Thessalonians). McKenzie shows how the Antichrist was ultimately a spiritual ruler from the abyss (Rev. 11:7) that worked through Titus in his three-and-a-half-year destruction of the Jewish nation (AD 67-70; cf. Dan. 9:26). This spirit of Antichrist was about to come out of the abyss in the first century (Rev. 17:8 NASB) and was destroyed by the Second Advent of Jesus in AD 70 (a spiritual event). Continue reading to see how McKenzie convincingly makes the biblical case for this fascinating and controversial position, and what it means for us today. Dr. Duncan McKenzie is a licensed psychologist (Ph.D. in psychology) who lives in Los Angeles, California. He has been studying Bible prophecy for the past twenty-five years and has been researching and writing this two volume set for the last twelve years.

J. David Pleins presents a sociological study of the Hebrew Bible, seeking to uncover its social vision by examining biblical statements about social ethics. He does this within the framework provided by Israel's social institutions, the social locations of its actors, and the historical struggles for power and survival that are reflected in the transmission of the texts.
