DOWNLOAD EBOOKHawk knew all about death and trouble, and thats why he was a loner. He had a quick smile, a fast gun and a horse that had sense enough to turn its rear to the wind in a storm. He was a smart horse and that was more that he could say for some humans he had met lately. They all seemed to have one thought on their minds and that was attending his funeral and if a popularity poll was taken, it looks like he would have to hire pallbearers. In 1863, Bloody Bill Anderson and his outlaws stopped a westbound train just outside Centralia, Missouri. They stole the strongbox, which contained three thousand dollars, and executed twenty-five Union Soldiers. Hawk remembered his two brothers who were killed that day. As a small boy he tried in vain to comfort his mother who died a few months later of a broken heart. It was that day in the churchyard that he swore on his mothers grave that he would get revenge. Now his time had come and the trail of these killers had lead him to Frank James and Bob Ford and a question he may not live long enough to answer. Why was it that everyone who knew about the agreement between the Ford Brothers and the James Brothers, committed suicide, died mysteriously, or was murdered? Hawk knew he would have to find the answer to that question or die trying.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThe writer and star of The State, Wet Hot American Summer, The Baxter, and Michael & Michael Have Issues brings readers his uniquely absurd humor in his hilarious first book. I was at my wit's end. I'd had enough of this job, this life, and my relationship had broken up. Should I eat chocolate, or go to India, or fall in love? Then I had a revelation: Why not do all three, in that order? And so it was that I embarked on a journey that was segmented into three parts and was then made into a major motion picture. Later, I woke up on an airplane with a hole in my face and a really bad hangover. I was ushered brusquely off the plane by my parents who took me to a rehab where I tested positive for coke, classic coke, special k (the drug), Special K (the cereal), mushrooms, pepperoni, and Restless Leg Syndrome. It was there that I first began painting with my feet. But rewind...the year was 1914. I was just a young German soldier serving in the trenches while simultaneously trying to destroy an evil ring with some help from an elf, a troll, and a giant sorcerer, all while cooking every recipe out of a Julia Child cookbook. What I'm trying to say is that there was a secret code hidden in a painting and I was looking for it with this girl who had a tattoo of a dragon! Let me clarify, it was the 1930s and a bunch of us were migrating out of Oklahoma, and I was this teenage wizard/CIA operative, okay? And, um then I floated off into the meta-verse as a ball of invisible energy that had no outer edge... Ugh, okay. None of this is true. I'm just kind of a normal guy from New Jersey who moved to New York, got into comedy, wrote this book about trying to write this book, and then moved to Alaska, became the mayor of a small town, spent $30,000 on underwear, and now I'm going to rule the world!!!

DOWNLOAD EBOOKDespite the stodgy stereotypes, libraries and librarians themselves can be quite funny. The spectrum of library humor from sources inside and outside the profession ranges from the subtle wit of the New Yorker to the satire of Mad. This examination of American library humor over the past 200 years covers a wide range of topics and spans the continuum between light and dark, from parodies to portrayals of libraries and their staffs as objects of fear. It illuminates different types of librarians--the collector, the organization person, the keeper, the change agent--and explores stereotypes like the shushing little old lady with a bun, the male scholar-librarian, the library superhero, and the anti-stereotype of the sexy librarian. Profiles of the most prominent library humorists round out this lively study.
