This standard is only applicable to tanks with a base elevation substantially at ground level. This standard does not cover all details of design and construction. Details that are not addressed shall be designed and constructed to be as adequate and as safe as those that would otherwise be provided under this standard. This standard is not applicable to tanks of corrugated construction. This standard is not applicable to tanks constructed of stacked plates or sheets laminated to form multiple layers.
