Robert Topham lived in Linton, Yorkshire, England and made his will in 1550. His descendant, Abraham Toppan, lived in Yarmouth, county of Norfolk and came to Massachusetts in 1637 and settled in Newbury. He married Susanna Taylor (1607-1689).
