And there is no proof that they washed or Baptized their hands in any other way than we do, when we wash our hands or faces, by applying water to them. In Mark VII. 4, we read, and many other things there be which they have received to hold, as the washing Baptizing) of cups and pots, and brazen vessels and of tables (or couches.) And all these things were doubtless washed, or Baptized, then, as they are now; by applying water to them in such quantity and mode as was most convenient for the purposes of cleansing.
