No podemos, cuando la técnica es tan decisiva en nuestras vidas, abandonarnos a una confianza ciega en la tecnología, y tampoco la docilidad ante sus determinaciones puede seguir siendo nuestro comportamiento habitual. Se trataría, justamente, de lo contrario, de sustituir la confianza ciega por el espíritu crítico, reflexivo y metodológicamente científico, por un lado, y la docilidad por la autonomía de acción. Necesitamos, por tanto, desarrollar una actitud consciente, capaz de sopesar los efectos positivos y negativos de los cambios y, sobre todo, capaz de inspirar nuevos desarrollos técnicos y nuevos cursos de acción que se acomoden a las aspiraciones del ser humano.
