Who among the faithful, feels not a holy desire to know the admirable life of the glorious Patriarch whom the divine Providence gave to be the spouse of the august Queen of Heaven, and whom the Son of God called Father? It seems to us that the souls consecrated to God, who all have St. Joseph for their patron and protector, will rejoice to read thelife of him towards whom they have so particular a devotion. Has not the seraphic St. Teresa made known to the world that St. Joseph is so powerful and so merciful that helps us in all things. What a heartfelt joy it is to instruct ourselves in all that constitutes the glory and the grandeur of our incomparable Patriarch. God, in the wise designs of His Providence, chose to conceal much of what related to this Saint who has no equal and will never be equal. This work also contains a section of sentiments on devotion to Saint Joseph from Olier and on the Devotion of Saint Teresa of Avila to Saint Joseph.
