DOWNLOAD EBOOKPhosphorus-Nitrogen Compounds: Cyclic, Linear, and High Polymeric Systems concerns itself with the chemistry of compounds containing alternating phosphorus - nitrogen atoms in the skeleton. The monograph aims to be an introduction to phosphorus-nitrogen chemistry, a review of advances in the field, and reference work. The text is divided into three parts. Part I covers the introduction, historical background, and nomenclature of phosphorus-nitrogen compounds and the theories in bonding and structure of phosphazenes and phosphazanes. Part II deals with reactions such as the synthesis of the phosphorus-nitrogen skeleton, hydrolysis of phosphazenes and phosphazanes, and the aminolysis of halophosphazenes. Part III discusses polymer chemistry and includes topics such as polymerization, depolymerization, and phosphazene polymers. The book is recommended for students and practitioners in the field of chemistry, especially those concerned with phosphorus nitrogen compounds and polymeric systems.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis book deals with the processes behind cycles of the phosphate and nitrogen compounds in sediment and the phosphate equilibria between the sediment and the overlying water. In most waters, excessive concentrations of these compounds causes eutrophication: rapid, choking growth of algae. The chapters of this book probe the chemicals involved in considerable detail, and offer the complete understanding needed to remediate or prevent pollution problems.

DOWNLOAD EBOOKPhosphoric acid amides with PCl5 as well as hydroxyl ammonium salts with PCl5 (or with PC13) lead to the compound C13P=N-P(O)Cl2, which is also formed in the reaction between PCl3 and N2O4. The nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of this compound was studied. The phosphorus atoms in the compound possess the coordination number 4 and are chemically equivalent. The two phosphorus atoms are connected by a nitrogen bridge and a coupling constant of 15.4 c.p.s. was measured. The reactions of PCl5 with NH4Cl in solvents of not too low dielectric constant leads in good yield to P3NCl12, a compound whose constitutions was elucidated through chemical reactions, measurement of electrical conductivity and study of the nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum. DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis particular volume, Nitrogen and Phosphorus Solvents, is the second in a comprehensive and up-to-date series. The introduction of new nitrogen- and phosphorus- containing solvents used in industry has been accompanied by an explosion of knowledge about their properties, toxicity and metabolism. Even a relatively simple compound such as N-methylformamide undergoes a complex metabolic transformation in mammals. Such information, and other considerations contained in this volume will supply researchers and students with an excellent information source on modern mechanistic toxicology, while helping to provide a sound scientific basis for accurate health risk assessment.
