DOWNLOAD EBOOKThis collection of papers was presented at the eighteenth symposium of the Research Institute for Theology and Religion (Unisa) in 1994. The transition to a full democracy has been something of a bloodless revolution in South Africa, but a post- apartheid society can only remain bloodless if it is complemented by many smaller revolutions. These smaller revolutions are mainly concerned with the reconstruction process which takes place not only on a physical level, but also has to do with changed attitudes and a reconstruction of minds. The contributions in this book deal with very real issues like societal trends, economic and legal realities and the psychological effects of change on people. This book explores the problems and the opportunities of the challenge to Christianity in South Africa that sociopolitical change poses.
