This book takes you through the journey of a young boy slowly aging into a man against his better judgement. Since the age of 6 I've always had these overwhelmingly strong emotions and thoughts but never knew how to get them out of my head until I discovered poetry, the expression of one's self through abstract word play and rhyming. I struggled with my sense of self, my religious beliefs, my sexuality, and most importantly love very early on in my life and found poetry as an amazing outlet to express the internal manifestations of my being. I have always hidden my emotions in my writings thus hiding them from the rest of the world and in most cases myself as I didn't know how to express my feelings externally, but these feelings were too strong to just let go or bury so I wrote them down hoping one day I could share them with others like myself. I hope you get something out of this book that you can take with you and share with others.

"The findings, in essence, reveal a person of dual identity, with unconscious forces playing a prominent role and holding the key to Voltaire's paradoxical character. His conscious, rational, and cognitively astute self - the standard-bearer of the philosophes in their epochal struggle for freedom - was also responsible for sealing off the subconscious portion of the self associated with traumatic experiences. The elaborate characterological structure erected to ward off consciously unacceptable impulses and, simultaneously, to obtain satisfaction of frustrated needs, is the subject of this study. The price he had to pay for the drastic disconnect between the two selves was formidable. In this volume, much attention is devoted to the unconventional ways and phantasmal stratagems adopted for dealing with the internal pressure of repressed impulses and a perpetual quest for affectional support. Some of these maneuvers show tenuous contact with social reality, as do his bizarre psychosomatic symptoms and bold rationalizations in the Memoirs." "Fortunately for the Western world, Voltaire's prodigious mind was put to use in rattling the cage of the intolerant and rigidly backward theocratic/political system. Due to his immense popularity as a playwright, and his agile participation in current events through a flood of pamphlets, leaflets, and occasional pieces, together with the gigantic volume and engaging style of his correspondence, the name Voltaire became synonymous with the Age of Enlightenment. The dual identity did not interfere with his effectiveness as a humanist. In fact, there is reason to believe that the energy invested in fighting l'infame, the oppressive authority of Church and State, was augmented by a dynamic driving force of the hidden self: the never verbalized and consciously never processed bitter resentment of paternal coercion. Principles and methods of depth psychology, as applied in the study, are elucidated and illustrated."--Jacket.

I wasn’t always Dr. Sandy. I once was a lost little girl seeking for anyone to love and care about me. I didn’t feel human and felt like I was from another planet. I just didn’t belong. I went through this cycle for many years until I discovered that I was Soul. This discovery led me to get my graduate and then doctoral degrees. It led me down a path I had been taught in childhood, but had forgotten. That was the path of medicine woman and shaman, and then I became an esoteric-metaphysical minister. You see, in order to find your soul you really do have to lose your mind. I did and I questioned everything. What is God? Who are humans really? What are we supposed to be doing here? I found that as humans we are becoming plagued in a stagnant pattern of pain, illness and suffering everywhere in the world. This is not how it is meant to be. I found that living through our Soul-Self allows us to see the world more clearly and accurately and can remove the patterns of suffering and struggle. The world is changing and many people have forgotten how to be fully human, however many are awakening, knowing, sensing and feeling there is something more. If you are one of those people open these pages and discover how to raise your consciousness and heighten your awareness. Discover how we should be fully aware of the ego-mind that will lead us to believe we are either greater than great or just no good. Even when we are neither we believe it anyway. That is the power of ego. What you will discover is how to pay much more attention to your soul-consciousness, by getting out of our heads and begin living from the place of soul. We’ve forgotten who we are. Being fully human requires reigning in the ego and becoming the Divine Beings we truly are. Soul is Divine after all.

Dwight's journey began in a quiet working-class neighborhood in New England. Dwight's parents did everything they could to protect him from the evil forces of the world that existed beyond the borders of Rosemont Street. What Dwight knew about life at that time was to do his chores, keep his surroundings in order, keep himself in order, and do his very best in school. However, as Dwight grew from adolescence to early adulthood, he became bored with the secured life that his parents provided. Dwight made the choice to join the military. His freedom away from his parents revealed a truly dark side of his personality. The beast in him possessed his overall character. Freedom from that quaint little neighborhood in New England caused him to think that the grass was so much greener outside of that neighborhood. With tunnel vision and green-tinted shades, not only was it greener, but it soon became delusional. Dwight finally realized that God is the answer.
