Excerpt from A Cry From the Desert Philander. In the Objections which you have just advanced, I perceive three of the usual answers which are given to those who advocate the study of the Prophecies, and to which I will endeavour to reply with such arguments as may present themselves to my mind; and I hope I shall be enabled to con vince you that such Objections are wholly untenable from Scripture authority. The only thing that keeps me going through these dark days is my belief in the coming Kingdom of God. Even still, there is so much pain in this world, and much of my poetry reflects the sadness and discontent which I have so often felt. We walk through the valley of the shadow of death, yet we fear no evil, for God is with Us. In the depths of sorrows we hang on, with hope, with faith, and with love. Our Planet and our Society are so screwed up. People are unhappy and conditions continue to worsen. Our cities are overcrowded. Our governments are corrupt. Our children are not happy. Maybe you can understand my pain as you read these poems. Maybe you can relate. Growing up and living in a society and environment like ours leaves many feeling unfulfilled and unhappy. It's always darkest right before the Dawn, and behind my sorrows and discontent there is also a Blessed Hope. The Kingdom is coming!! Enjoy these poems ~
