Excerpt from A Biographical Sketch of James Jensen It was the intention originally to summarize briefly the leading events in the life of James Jensen. Contrary to all expectations, the subject matter of this small volume grew beyond the limitations put upon it. The writer, believing that many of the events connected with this biography and belonging to the history of Forest Dale would be a source of interest to the people generally of the Ward, therefore obtained the consent of the Bishop to the publication of his biography in book form. This consent was given with great reluctance on the part of Bishop Jensen whose fears about "becoming modesty," "undue pretentions," and "adverse criticism" had to be overcome by persistent effort and persuasion. The author assumes all responsibility for whatever publicity this volume may acquire. If its subject matter should prove as interesting to the reader as it has been to the writer, the latter will have no apology to make for offering this book to the members of the Ward and the friends of its worthy Bishop. “It’s not often that you read a fantasy that feels as epic and original . . . Clever, well-paced, and full of intrigue, it’s a superb read.” —James Dashner, #1 New York Times–bestselling author All his life, Nels has wanted to be a knight of the kingdom of Avërand. Tall and strong, and with a knack for helping those in need, the people of his sleepy little village have even taken to calling him the Knight of Cobblestown. But that was before Nels died, murdered outside his home by a mysterious figure. Now the young hero has awoken as a ghost, invisible to all around him save one person—his only hope for understanding what happened to him—the kingdom’s heir, Princess Tyra. At first the spoiled royal wants nothing to do with Nels, but as the mystery of his death unravels, the two find themselves linked by a secret, and an enemy who could be hiding behind any face. Nels and Tyra have no choice but to abscond from the castle, charting a hidden world of tangled magic and forlorn phantoms. They must seek out an ancient needle with the power to mend what has been torn, and they have to move fast. Because soon Nels will disappear forever. “Woven reads like a lost classic that was somehow just rediscovered. It has the feel of a comfortable, familiar blanket that’s somehow been newly-made of the brightest, most original material possible, and it is pure pleasure to read.” —James A. Owen, bestselling author & illustrator of Dawn of the Dragons “This brisk adventure from first-time authors Jensen and King is a charming quest tale in classic fantasy tradition.” —Publishers Weekly

"7 KEYS To Unlock Your Full Potential" is a book filled with the incredible promise for those readers who may better understand the TRUE relationship between the conscious and subconscious areas of the mind. The reader will be taken on a journey toward a doorway that opens a life of expanded opportunities and potential successes. The book does not require a leap of faith. The principles and techniques presented herein are both practical and well documented by modern science. The following is an eloquent description and summary of this book. "There is a musical form termed "call and response" in which a distinct phrase is played by one musician and a second phrase forms a commentary on or a response to the first phrase. This mirrors a tradition characteristic of African and African American Christian worship in which the speaker makes a statement and the congregation responds with an affirmation, amplifying and clarifying the initial statement. This work by Murphy and Jensen is an exquisite example of call and response-Murphy asserts, Jensen elucidates. Their subject matter may have sometimes been dismissed as too far out or not based on verifiable scientific evidence, but in page after page the call is a clear, declaratory statement of conviction and the response is an offering of anecdotal evidence which becomes increasingly compelling as the chapters accumulate. If it is not enough to convince the skeptic, it is at least enough to shake the certainty and smugness of its critics. Read this and sing!"-Daniel K. Church, Ph.D., President, Bastyr University."

A Perfect Union of Contrary Things is the authorized biography of musician and vintner Maynard James Keenan. Co-author Sarah Jensen's 30-year friendship with Keenan gives her unique insight into his history and career trajectory. The book traces Keenan's journey from his Midwest childhood to his years in the Army to his time in art school, from his stint at a Boston pet shop to his place in the international spotlight and his influence on contemporary music and regional winemaking. A comprehensive portrayal of a versatile and dedicated artist, A Perfect Union of Contrary Things pays homage to the people and places that shaped the man and his art. Until now, Maynard's fans have had access to only an abridged version of his story. A Perfect Union of Contrary Things presents the outtakes, the scenes of disappointment and triumph, and the events that led him to take one step after the next, to change direction, to explore sometimes surprising opportunities. Included are sidebars in his own words, often humorous anecdotes that illuminate the narrative, as well as commentary by his family members, friends, instructors, and industry colleagues. The book also features a foreword by Alex Grey, an American visionary artist and longtime friend of Keenan. Accompanying the text are photos of Keenan from childhood to the present. Maynard's story is a metaphor for the reader's own evolution and an encouragement to follow one's dreams, hold fast to individual integrity, and work ceaselessly to fulfill our creative potential.
