In a world torn apart by war, a group of intelligent creatures known as Guardians hid humans in a protected underground hideaway. Generations later, a young man named Xenos and his friends have no knowledge of the world above, and are tired of the tyrannical rule of the Guardians. On the day Xenos turns twenty-three macro sleep cycles old, the group finally makes the decision to escape from their home and head toward the light, where freedom hopefully awaits.
