The present edition is virtually a new book, such matter as has been retained from the former issue having been in almost every case rewritten, amplified or condensed as seemed to be most appropriate to the purpose of the publication, which is to furnish a complete, accurate and reliable biographical dictionary of contemporary Pennsylvanians.
